* USA - TDOT study aimed at streamlining trucking traffic
Knoxville,TN,USA -WBIR-TV, by Yvette Martinez -16 Oct 2007: -- The Tennessee Department of Transportation sees some 160,000 cars and trucks travel through Knoxville every day. Every year, that number is expected to multiply, leaving TDOT officials needing to come up with a plan to keep it all moving safely... But Tennessee is still trying to figure out what to do with the growing number of truckers on the road. Truck drivers say they're trying to adjust to every state's laws and the fines that come with the violations... The corridor study should be finished by January. Public meetings regarding TDOT's recommendations will happen in the spring... ( Photographer: Brian Holt)
