AR,USA -Arkansas Democrat Gazette, by LAURIE WHALEN -September 15, 2007: -- Financial analysts predicted third-quarter-earnings doldrums for publicly traded truckload carriers and pointed to the unimpressive start of the peak shipping season, which runs between August and October... This week, analysts at Milwaukee-based investment bank Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. reduced earnings estimates for seven truckload and less-thantruckload carriers to reflect a freight recession that’s entered its seventh consecutive quarter. Baird performs investment services for the companies it reports on... Much like 2006, this year’s peak season has failed to materialize, Jon Langenfeld, Baird’s transportation equity analyst, wrote in a Sept. 13 report...
