NEW TRUCKS WOLDWIDE * Russia - The "Moscow Truck Show"

The latest wagons from Russia and China

Moscow,Russia -BiglorryBlog (UK) -3 Set 2007: -- Thanks to Will Shiers & Biglorryblog we bring you this pictures selection of the very best of Russian and Chinese wagons at the recent Moscow Truck Show
Kicking off above with this 6x4 Chinese Foton Auman I280W...
Howo eight-legger is the result of a joint venture with Volvo--if you look carefully you can see the old FL10 cab there behind a reworked front. I'm not sure whether the Howo connection is still 'live' with Volvo...
Russian Kamaz six-wheeler boasts very latest 360hp Turbo diesel at (wait for it) Euro-2! That's probably quite a clean truck in Russia right now...
Another Foton, Will tells me that although the show was full of Chinese trucks, the Foton was the only brand they saw outside the exhibition running on Moscow streets...
If I can decipher the stuff on the board that was in front of this Foton tractor correctly, it has a Steyr engine at 380hp. This comes as a bit of surprise as I thought Cummins had done a deal with Foton to supply its ISMe to them for tractors...
While this Chinese rigid has more than a touch of Scania about it..or am I reading too much into its name--'Hania'? Whatever the story both of these vehicle show styling that wouldn't be out of place on a Western truck...
Here's a case of "unstoppable force meets unmoveable object" (you can work out which is which yourselves). This somewhat overloaded punter clearly wanted to get close to this terrific, special, Russian-built all-terrain (and they mean it too) vehicle. Front looks like a smaller version of the bonneted cab used on the the German Titan heavy-duty oil-field truck...
See the low-down on these two Russian light-middleweights, but doesn't pull any punches on the quality of the interior either...
