Detroit,Ill,USA -Today's Trucking -5 Sept 2007: -- Truckers and travelers are reporting some of the longest cross-border lineups they've seen since the days immediately following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001... Increased inspections at several Canada-U.S. border crossings this summer has led to longer than normal wait times, according to an Associate Press report... According to the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie-Buffalo, the time it takes U.S. Customs officers to inspect a vehicle has risen from 54 seconds last year to about 75 seconds this year...
