Herlihy, R-District 8, has proposed an immediate moratorium on trucks traveling on Avon Mountain, following Friday's truck crashing into a furniture store... "This is unacceptable. I do not think anything more needs be said or done to prove that this road is too dangerous for trucks," Herlihy said in a statement... The senator wrote a letter to state Department of Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter requesting the moratorium...
