The New York State Department of Transportation, which has been promoting an Island truck/rail depot for many years, is now focused on 105 acres of the former grounds of Pilgrim State Hospital in Brentwood. Its plan: an $85 million facility that would receive freight by rail and then transfer the goods to trucks for local transport...
