Female Trucker Story *USA - Job lets her compare parts of country to other lands

Wheat Ridge,Co,USA -The Trucker -10 Aug 2007: -- Professional driver Brenda Tokar says trucking has allowed her to compare some of the sights in the United States with those of several foreign countries in which she has lived... “I’ve lived in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium, all of which had some beautiful scenery,” she said, “and now I’m getting to see a lot of this country. Driving a truck allows me to sometimes take off-highway routes through some of the smaller towns in the country. I especially like looking at the variety of ways in which many of the older houses and other aging structures in America were constructed. They’re very interesting”... Tokar drives for McMullen Trucklines Corp. of Iowa... She’s been in trucking for nearly 3.5 years, having come to the industry after a career as an airlines agent...
