* The Netherlands - MAN Bags 1000 Unit Russian Order
Holland -Road Transport (UK) -1 June 2007: -- MAN has won an order for 1000 TGA heavy trucks from a Russian leasing organisation... A contract has been signed by the Russian JSC TransKreditBank and MAN's sales subsidiary MAN Avtomobili Rossiya, which will see 800 MAN TGA 18.390 and MAN TGA 18.480 4x2 BLS with an LX cab and 200 XLX cabbed variants being delivered... The vehicles will be leased by the JSC TransKreditBank to large Russian transport companies like Sovtransauto, Navigator, D-Trans and further members of the Association of International Road Carriers (ASMAP)
, and are likely to be used both for long haul national and international work...

* USA - Volvo sells truckstop stake
Grennsboro,N.C.,USA -Today`s Trucking (CAN) -31 May 2007: -- Volvo Trucks North America today announced that its 29 percent interest in Petro Stopping Centers Holdings, LP has been acquired by TravelCenters of America... Volvo received $46.3 million upon the closing of the transaction this week. The company characterized the sale as a testament to the growing strength of its dealer network...

* USA - Toyota Mulls U.S. Recall of Tundra Trucks
Tokyo,Japan -Dow Jones/SmartMoney -June 01, 2007 - Toyota Motor Corp. said Friday it is studying whether it needs to recall its new Tundra pickup sold in the U.S. after receiving reports of a problem with an engine part, a move that could deal a blow to the car maker's reputation for quality... Analysts say Toyota may be overstretching itself as its blistering pace of expansion makes it harder to ensure quality, which has been a key driver of its sales growth... A recall could also deepen concern about the prospects for Toyota's U.S. sales, after it posted its first on-year decline in sales there in nearly two years in April...
