* Sterling introduces Class 3 version of 360Redford,Mich,USA -Truck News (CAN), by James Menzies -13 June 2007: -- Sterling has introduced a new Class 3 version of its 360 truck which is the lightest in its lineup... A number of enhancements to the existing 360 have also been unveiled... The Sterling 360 was first introduced last year. It’s a low cabover truck built to maximize fuel economy and for ease of body upfitting. Available in Class 3-5 configurations, the 360 will be upgraded to deliver more horsepower, a lower chassis and standard cruise control, Sterling officials have announced... (See Photo)
* Germany - Kögel launches SAFEBAX air-bag curtain
Munich,Germany -Road Transport (UK) -13 June 2007: -- German trailer manufacturer Kögel is premiering its new SAFEBAX air-bag curtain at the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich this week. The air-bag system sits on the inside of the trailer and secures loads that could tip because they do not meet standard pallet dimensions. Once integrated into the curtain, the air bags create a distance of up to 160mm between the load and the sliding curtain... Available from July on the MAXX product range, the system comprises 38 polyethylene air bags...
