* Germany - Shareholders group to go to court to remove VW executives from MAN board
Frankfurt,Germany -Thompson Financial/AFX News Ltd/Forbes (NY,USA) -4 June 2007: -- A German group which protects shareholders' rights said it will go to court this week in a bid to remove Volkswagen AG supervisory chairman Ferdinand Piech and two other VW executives from the MAN AG supervisory board... A spokeswoman for Schutzgemeinschaft der Kapitalanleger (SdK) said her group wants the three VW executives out of the board because of 'conflict of interest'... 'VW wants to merge its truck business with MAN in an alliance which would apparently also include Scania. One can assume that it would be difficult for VW to represent the interests of MAN,' she said...
