...a pickup kept up a constant speed right next to him, occasionally dropping into the large rig's blind spot.
Vancouver,WA,USA -The Columbian, by Kelly Adams - June 05, 2007: -- Using $200,000 from a federal grant, the Washington State Patrol will target drivers who risk wrecks with big rigs in Southwest and Eastern Washington. The campaign is called TACT, for Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks, and will include an emphasis patrol that pairs officers with truck drivers to target people who drive recklessly around large rigs... The patrol starts Monday and runs through June 15. Drivers risk collisions by tailgating, not allowing enough space when they pass tractor-trailers or being inattentive, said WSP Capt. Darrin Grondel with the commercial vehicle division.
