Fort Worth,TX,USA -Truck News (Canada), by James Menzies -1 June 2007: -- Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) CEO David Bradley spoke about the escalating costs of security at a North American trade conference here yesterday... High-ranking officials from the US, Mexico and Canada attended the North American Super Corridor Coalition and were on-hand to hear Bradley’s remarks... He pointed out the trucking industry has already had to deal with more than a dozen US security measures introduced over the past six years... “It is really the theatre of security," he said. "No one seems to be doing a cost-benefit analysis and we don’t know where it will end. If our political leaders really do want the North American trade block to be able to compete with the emerging economic super-powers in Asia or even the European Union, then they must consider the costs that the supply chain has to absorb”...
