* USA - Ford posts 9% decline in March U.S. sales
San Francisco,CAL,USA -MarketWatch, by Shawn Langlois -Apr 3, 2007: -- Ford Motor Co. on Tuesday posted a 9% decline in March U.S. sales to 264,975 cars and trucks, with sales of the flagship F-Series truck down 15%. Land Rover slipped 11.8% to lead a broad retreat in Ford's luxury Premier Auto Group line. Volvo was off 4.2% while Jaguar sales fell 10.7%. Overall, car sales slid 14.6% while trucks took a 5.8% hit. Lincoln, thanks in part to its new crossover, was the only brand to notch an increase, up 9.8% from a year ago.
