Stockholm,Sweden -Transport Online (Netherlands) -9 Feb 2007: -- Swedish truck maker Scania AB said Wednesday it has received an order for at least 300 construction trucks from Brazilian mining company Vale do Rio Doce... The trucks will be used for transporting iron ore at a mining project in Minas Gerais in Brazil, Scania said, adding that the deal contains an option to supply more trucks if needed...
* UK - 580 MAN trucks for British rental companies
UK -TruckEurope/Transport Online (Netherlands) -9 Feb 2007: -- The MAN Nutzfahrzeuge group has taken an order for 480 MAN vehicles, destined for rental company Hill Hire... They have also taken an order for 100 TGA Euro 4 EGR for another British hire company, Dawsonrentals. Hill Hire has also taken out a purchase option for 420 extra MAN vehicles... MAN sold 5,000 trucks in Great Britain in 2006, giving it a 10.7% market share...
