* UK - Daf Trucks broke record in 2006
UK -Auto Industry (UK) -10 Jan 2007: -- Daf Trucks had a second record-breaking year in 2006, with its highest ever market share, beating its previous record by 0.5 percentage points. The firm was again market leader across all eight sectors of the market for the second straight year and says this is an achievement no other truck maker has matched in the UK... Daf parent Paccar is opening an office in Shanghai this year. The office aims to buy components in China for worldwide operations, and to sell Paccar powertrain components in Asia from Shanghai...
* Russia - KAMAZ Group rose the sales.
Moscow,Russia -AK&M -11 Jan 2007: -- In 2006 KAMAZ Group made and sold the products in the volume of 59.422bn rub. or 27.3% higher prior year period, the company informed... On the domestic and foreign markets the sales increased 34% to gain 43.344th trucks; 29.7% being exported (11.044th)... KAMAZ is one of the leading automotive plants in Russia...
