To reduce carbon emissions
Havelock Nth,Hawkes Bay,New Zealand -newswire.co.nz -16 Jan 2007: -- The trucking industry is calling on the Government to allow trucks to carry heavier loads to reduce carbon emissions... The Road Transport Forum says the government is dithering over the issue, despite ministers saying they want to prioritise the reduction of greenhouse gasses... It says if trucks were allowed to carry the loads they are designed for, there would be fewer on the road and carbon emissions could be drastically reduced... The forum says there is no logical reason for the Government's failure to act...
