Eugene,OR,USA -The Register Guard, By Edward Russo -Jan 14, 2007: -- ... Eugene City Councilor Betty Taylor last year asked the council to consider banning leaf blowers from the city limits. Instead, Taylor's council colleagues directed city staff to put the noisy, two-stroke, gas-powered blowers on a list of machines that can't be operated from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m... Taylor also wanted the council to consider keeping trucks that blow bark mulch out of neighborhoods. But that idea didn't get anywhere with the council. The proposed ordinance does not include any restrictions on the use of the trucks...
