First, Dongguan, which is situated between Guangzhou and Shenzhen and also adjacent to Hong Kong in the south, has developed a fast and sound transportation network in recent years... The city has developed a total of 2,871 kilometres of roads, of which 154 kilometres are expressways... From Humen Port, which is one of the State-level A ports open to foreign ships, it is only a two-hour ride to Hong Kong Ferry Port and about 70 minutes to the Hong Kong International Airport... At present, about 7,000 cargo trucks depart daily from Dongguan to other cities in the Pearl River Delta and all over the country...
