* Japan - AB Volvo to Acquire Nissan's Remaining 6% Stake in Nissan Diesel
Tokyo,Japan -Auto Spectator /(USA) -25 Sept 2006: -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced that AB Volvo will acquire its remaining 6% stake (equivalent to 18,211,000 shares) in Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd., dissolving Nissan's capital relationship with the medium- and heavy-duty Japanese truck maker... This agreement follows Nissan’s divestiture of a 13% stake in Nissan Diesel to the Swedish truck maker in March this year...
* Germany - Volvo and Nissan Co-operate in Germany
Germany -TNN (UK) -25 Sept 2006: -- The German wholly owned dealer network of Volvo Truck Corporation and the German subsidiary of Nissan Europe, today agreed conditions to enable the distribution of three of Nissan’s light commercial vehicles through the Volvo dealer network in Germany. The cooperation includes sales and after sales activities. The intention is to extend the cooperation to other markets in Europe...
* USA - Enterprise will open truck rental operation
O'FALLON,IL,USA -The Belleville News-Democrat (Belleville,IL), by WILL BUSS -Sep. 26, 2006: -- Enterprise Rent-A-Truck, will open Monday and will also serve as Enterprise's second Rent-A-Car locale in O'Fallon. It will be located down the road from the company's pre-existing car rental site... Company spokesman Lisa Martini said Rent-A-Truck will provide commercial customers three-quarter and one-ton pickup trucks, box trucks, stake bed trucks and cargo vans for daily, weekly or monthly rentals. Martini said the expansion comes in response to the strong market Enterprise has witnessed in the region...
