St. Paul,MN,USA -The Pioneer Press -Oct. 08, 2006: -- Could the garbage truck that rolls down your street someday be "cleaner" than your own car?... The answer appears to be yes... Eaton Corp., which has its Fluid Power Group based in Eden Prairie, rolled out vehicles this week that use hydraulic hybrid technology to improve fuel-efficiency and lower greenhouse gas emissions... At an event Wednesday at the Eden Prairie plant, a UPS delivery truck equipped with the new power system was on display. A garbage truck and a shuttle bus, both equipped with Eaton's hybrid hydraulic system, also were shown. The company developed the UPS truck with several partners, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army...
