AMEND/AP -6 Oct 2006: -- Oil prices have slipped below $60 a barrel and investors expecting a corresponding uptick in consumer spending have rotated back into the trucking sector, but given the headwinds facing the industry today, any run-up the stocks have is likely be short-lived... David Ross, an analyst at Stifel-Nicolaus, who expects that trucking stocks will give back in the first quarter of 2007 whatever they might gain during this year's peak season, said: "Trucks are more expensive, driver pay is rising, regulatory costs are rising... So we like the industry in the long term. It's just a matter of timing."...
