Approval - Australia - Bigger trucks on the Hume

Wodonga,VIC,Australia -The Border Mail, by HOWARD JONES -19 Aug 206: -- B-DOUBLE trucks up to 68 tonnes are making their way up and down the Hume Highway and more are on the way... Leading transport company Border Express is looking to increase the size of vehicles in its nationwide fleet of 320 trailers and other companies are making the change gradually... A six-axle semi-trailer can now be 45.5 tonnes instead of 42.5 tonnes... NSW has given approval to their use on the Hume (north to Goulburn), Sturt and Newell highways in southern NSW, but they can travel a 100km radius from each highway...
