Fuel alternatives - UK - DME? Now Nissan Diesel is getting in on the fuel act
UK -Biglorryblog/Transport News Network -30 June 206: -- Having unveiled its first DME-powered truck last year based around an FM9 rigid (albeit with a modified fuelling system) Volvo has now revealed its plans for a third generation of DME vehicles between now and 2010... But what I DIDN'T know about DME (and here's where it gets interesting) is that another major truck builder close to Volvo’s heart is also working on it---and that company is Nissan Diesel... and claimed that in tests conducted jointly with the US National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory it had exceeded the requirements of forthcoming 2010 US heavy duty truck emissions regulations...
