Australia -ABC Online -Mar 23, 2006: -- The Cattle Council of Australia says a decision to quash proposed increases in heavy vehicle charges will mean massive savings for the nation's $11 billion livestock industry... The National Transport Commission wanted to increase registrations for B-double trucks by 37 per cent and for road trains by 35 per cent... Cattle Council president Bill Bray says the proposal would have meant additional costs for producers, but transport ministers have rejected it...
