Production - India - Tata Motors to drive sales with Daewoo trucks
JAMSHEDPUR, India -Reuters -Nov 14, 2005: -- India's top bus and truck maker, Tata Motors Ltd., launched its first Daewoo truck for the domestic market on Monday and said new launches would drive growth in its commercial vehicle business... The company, which bought South Korea's Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co. Ltd. in March 2004, expects in the first year to sell thousands of units of the newly launched Novus tipper truck, built from semi-knocked-down components from the Daewoo plant... The 25-tonne Novus is already being sold in Europe, parts of Africa and the Middle East...
