Korea -AFP -Sep 1, 2005: -- Workers have stepped up strike action at South Korea's largest automaker, Hyundai Motor, shutting down production and preparing for a mass rally, company officials said... More than 20,000 workers downed tools on the day shift for four hours until noon (GMT 03:00) and 10,000 night shift workers said they would keep the plant idle overnight from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Friday... Workers want higher pay, reduced workering hours and a say in management decisions...
