Fuel stocks are short and suppliers are on allocations. Prices, already at record highs, have gone up dramatically in the last couple of days, and are poised to go even higher, giving truck owners and shippers more worries. Fuel shortages may force some tough decisions as to who gets it and who goes without... over the last year or so most carriers have seen freight volumes and business conditions generally improve. But the fuel situation, with its impact on cash flow and profitability, has endangered many trucking companies.
