Fifth largest auto recall in U.S. history
WASHINGTON -Ass.Press -Sept. 7, 2005 :-/ The recall by Ford Motor Co., the fifth-largest auto industry recall in U.S. history, involved 3.8 million pickups and SUVs from the 1994-2002 model years, including the top-selling F-150 pickup.
Former presidential candidate Ralph Nader, a longtime auto safety advocate, said the recall was insufficient, citing similar switches found on 16 million Ford vehicles... “Ford Motor Company’s sluggish and piecemeal approach to its automotive responsibilities betrays motorists’ safety,” Nader said...
