Fleets - Iran - Chinese, European trucks will soon join Iran’s road transportation fleet
TEHRAN,Iran -Mehr New -Sept. 5 2005: -- Chinese and European trucks will soon join Iran’s road transportation fleet said former head of the Road Maintenance and Road Transport Organization on Monday... The Road Maintenance and Road Transport Organization is currently supervising and coordinating the works of over 400,000 vehicle operators and 6,000 companies in charge of cargo transportation across the country... Referring to the number of the trucks produced in the country he maintained that, heavy and light trucks production in Iran rose from the 5,000-7,000 in 1998 to the current 45,000 adding, "Transit of goods increased from 3.2 tons in 1997 to 9.3 tons last year"...
