Anger - Australia - Oil companies avoid petrol summit
Australia -The World Today, by Brendan Trembath -22 Sept, 2005 :-/ Australia's biggest oil companies have angered business groups by staying away from a summit on surging petrol prices... The meeting in Sydney was organised by the motoring group, the NRMA, which says that consumer confidence has been shattered by the increased cost of petrol... The summit heard how it's flowing through to industries such as tourism, trucking and farming.... But the Federal Government, which reluctantly agreed to attend, says there are no quick fixes...
