Agreement - Malaysia - Petronas signs letter of intent with Nanjing Automobile Corporation
Malaysia -Indiacar/India -Sept 06, 2005: -- Malaysian oil and engineering group Petronas has signed a letter of intent with China's carmaker Nanjing Automobile Corporation and Chinese consultancy Brilliant Culture Group Limited towards the use of its Petronas E01 engine technology for the Nanjing’s vehicle line-up... Petronas and Nanjing Automobile Corporation will assess the engine technology's suitability and develop engine specifications to suit the Nanjing Automobile Corporation’s planned 1.8 and 2 litre platforms... Brilliant Culture Group Limited is expected to co-invest with Nanjing Automobile Corporation in the manufacturing facilities for the engine, Petronas said... The Chinese companies will be granted a licence to produce the engine while Petronas would retain the Intellectual Property rights...
