Germany -Bloomberg -Aug. 11 2005: -- Germany may force van and truck makers to equip new vehicles with electronic stability devices to reduce accidents and wants automakers to add the technology to all cars voluntarily, the Transport Ministry said... Just one in twenty new utility vehicles are equipped with the anti-skid controls compared with two-thirds of all new cars sold, the ministry said a statement. In the European Union, 36 percent of all new cars are equipped with ESP. This it's a chipped-based system that monitors and adjusts vehicle tracking before skids occur... Bosch, which pioneered the device with DaimlerChrysler AG, expects sales to rise...
