Prices - USA - Trucking hurt by rising gas prices

MARIETTA,Parkersburg,WV,USA -Parkersburg News, by BRETT DUNLAP -Aug 12 2005: -- Escalating diesel and gasoline prices are causing trucking companies to re-evaluate operations and adjust prices to offset higher costs. David DeBarr, president of the DeBarr Trucking Co. in Parkersburg, said they are spending $900 more a day on diesel fuel than they were this time last year... The company has had to re-evaluate their daily operations to try to make up the fuel cost difference without sacrificing the safety of their fleet and people, he said...
