MERCEDES BENZ * Finland - Spy Shots: Testing Pickup Truck
* Lapland - Mercedes-Benz megabucks crew cab, or G-Class Squared
Mercedes-Benz was spotted testing a crew cab pickup truck variant of the G500 4×4², or G-Class Squared, deep in snowy Lapland, the northernmost region of Finland... It’s a heavy-duty yet sporty version of the iconic last edition G-class before the next generation will be launched in 2019... Compared to the “normal” G500 4×4², this pickup will grow in length and wheelbase and will comfortably sit four people while also offering an open loading space behind the cabin, though a relatively short one... The company has not revealed any official plans for the boulder and ice crawler such as the G500 it was spotted testing in the tundra... But Mercedes has confirmed investing at least $1 billion in pickup truck development...
