--- While sales of Class 8 trucks powered by natural gas remain low, U.S. and Canadian natural gas heavy-duty retail sales overall had a healthy start to 2017, boosted mostly from refuse fleets, transit and school bus operators, according to ACT Research Co ... For 2016, the natural gas share of the Class 8 truck market was estimated at 3% due to higher new-truck sales and lower natural gas penetration, ACT said...

* Germany - Kögel triple the range of vehicles to gas

Burtenbach,Germany -Truck and Business, by Claude Yvens -29 June 2012: -- At IAA, Kögel present a module adaptable to all its trailers, made a series of CNG gas tanks. This module is connected to the tractor by a simple connection plug and play and has a capacity of 1100 liters of gas. It allows you to increase the autonomy of the truck up to 1000 kilometers, which eliminates a major disadvantage of gas vehicles, also particularly interesting in terms of operating costs (10 EUR saving all les100 km ) and CO2 emissions... A pleiine load, it weighs 524 kg, as against 800 kg for a box filled with pallets. It can be installed on trailers new or used...
