--- Ridgemont Equity Partners is acquiring trucking brokerage Worldwide Express and combining it with its Unishippers Global Logistics business, creating one of the largest third-party logistics providers in the U.S., with more than $1 billion in annual sales... As part of the deal announced Tuesday to buy Worldwide Express from private-equity group Quad-C Management, Ridgemont said it plans to merge the business with Unishippers, which it acquired in 2015. The new firm, Worldwide Express Global Logistics, will rank among the top 30 third-party logistics providers in the U.S., according to research group Armstrong & Associates...
