* Lagos - Dangote to establish multimillion dollar truck assembly plant in Nigeria
--- The Dangote Group recently announced the establishment of a $100 million truck assembly plant in Lagos, Nigeria. In a statement Sunday, the Dangote Group said it is partnering with National Heavy Duty Truck Group Company Limited (SINOTRUCK), China’s state-owned truck manufacturing company, to establish a truck assembly plant, according to Premium Times. Dangote Group Chief Corporate Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina said, the plant has a capacity to produce 10,000 trucks annually and has been spending a significant sum on the importation of trucks to distribute its products both locally and across African countries.
