* Ontario - Light trucks lead June sales toward record year for Canadian auto makers
--- The new vehicle market in Canada bounced back last month from the slight dip it took in May, as auto makers reported the highest June deliveries on record... Vehicle manufacturers delivered 191,129 vehicles last month, 7 per cent more than a year earlier, spurred by growing consumer demand for pickup trucks, crossover utility vehicles, sport utilities and minivans... Sales of those four types of vehicles, which appear on the truck side of the sales ledger, have been surpassing sales of passenger cars – prompting the Detroit-based manufacturers to keep some of their plants running in July, instead of taking the traditional two-week summer shutdown...
