-- It all began almost two decades ago when Colin Guthrie was presented with a new Scania P94 as he embarked upon a career as a lorry driver... Colin, from Ladykirk near Norham, was given a job by BEDMAX Shavings founder Tim Smalley, who produced haylage at his family farm... With horses up and down the country settling down on a BEDMAX Shavings bed, Colin and his faithful Scania had a big task ahead of them... Delivering BEDMAX Shavings from the plant at Detchant, Colin has travelled the length and breadth of the UK, regularly requiring an overnight stay... However, it is believed Colin and his truck reached the one million mile milestone last Monday, while travelling through home territory in Northumberland... Colin affirms he has no plans of slowing down any time soon, and as long as his trusty P94 continues to run then so will he...
