The launch marks the company’s re-entry into the construction and concrete markets, rounding out its severe-service line-up. The HX Series, to be launched in Las Vegas in conjunction with World of Concrete, will replace the long-running International PayStar... It marks the first all-new vehicle introduced by the truck maker since 2010... The HX-series trucks are already available for order in three models... The remaining truck in the lineup, the HX520, will be a 120-inch BBC set-forward axle truck or tractor for heavy-haul tractor, construction dump and platform stake/crane applications... The HX515 and HX615 will be powered by Navistar’s N13 engine while the HX520 and HX620 will offer the Cummins ISX15...

-- Mack Trucks has made GuardDog Connect standard on its TerraPro cabover models equipped with Mack’s MP engine. It made the announcement at World of Concrete... TerraPro trucks are specified for applications including concrete pump, dump, mixer or refuse... GuardDog Connect is Mack’s remote diagnostic and repair planning system. It monitors fault codes generated by the engine and advises the truck’s owner on the best course of action... GuardDog Connect was already standard on TerraPro trucks with concrete pump chassis, which, according to Mack, made it the first OEM to offer proactive support service for pump applications. It is also standard on the Mack Pinnacle, Granite and Titan by Mack...

-- Volvo Trucks North America announced today that it has posted record results achieveing all-time highs in 2015 for US, Canada and NAFTA Class 8 retail sales... Volvo also reached record penetration levels for Volvo power, I-Shift automated manual transmissions and XE eXceptional Efficiency powertrain packages... Its US retail market share was a record 12.4% in 2015, up 0.4 percentage points from 2014. Market share climbed 1 percentage point in Canada for a record 16.3% (4,884 vehicles compared to 4,510 in 2014). In addition, Volvo also achieved a record 12.2% NAFTA market share (36,940 vehicles), compared with 11.9%(32,281) in 2014. Volvo market share in Mexico was 4.9%... Volvo attributed its record-breaking 2015 to positive customer response to its fuel-efficient vehicles and powertrain and its uptime support... Volvo engines were spec’d in a record 93% of the trucks sold in 2015, and Volvo I-Shift penetration was a record 83%. More than 27% of all trucks sold in 2015 featured an XE package...
