* Michigan - 2017 Ford trucks will include stop-start feature
-- All Ford F-150 pickups powered by an EcoBoost engine, including the Raptor performance package, will include standard automatic stop-start technology to improve their fuel economy, beginning with the 2017 model year... Stop-start technology improves fuel economy by as much as 7% in city driving, by turning the engine off when the truck idles. Based on the current percentage of F-150's sold with EcoBoost engines, the feature could be included in more than 60% of Ford's full-size light-duty pickups... Last year, Ford sold 780,354 F-Series pickups, including the larger Super-Duty versions... Currently, EcoBoost-powered F-150's get 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 m.p.g. on the highway...
