* Norway - KA wins contract from European truck maker worth EUR 34 million (NOK 314 million)

(1) Crash technology for driver safety: A key principle when developing the new technology was to focus on driver safety in real life crash situations. Trailer back rear-impact is one of the most severe and frequent accident types for truck drivers... The crash bracket releases upon impact, optimizing the cabin to frame interface, allowing a controlled transition of cabin rearwards while absorbing forces and providing the optimal balance between survival space and deceleration in these situations... 

-- Kongsberg Automotive has been awarded a contract with an estimated value of EUR 34 million (NOK 314 million) over 5 years for the supply of chassis products to a major European truck manufacturer... The specific product connects the vehicle cabin with the vehicle frame. This is part of  Vehicle Dynamics segment, which is an important growth area within the business area KA's Driver Control Systems. Production under the contract will commence in 2016...
