TRUCKERS SHORTAGE * USA: In need of driversTrucking Association creating job Portal
* West Virginia - State's Trucking Association is getting ready to face a crisis in its number of workers
-- President of the West Virginia Truking Association, Jan Vineyard says, many workers are retiring and at the same time the association is being called on to move more freight. A job website that will be up next month is hoping to encourage people to apply. It will have jobs for not just drivers, but for anything involved in the association. Vineyard says the association needs workers and our state needs to address unemployment. She calls it a "win/win." ... "A lot of our drivers are older, but also we're gearing up to move more freight and to move more freight you have to have more drivers," Vineyard said. "What we hope to do is provide those companies in need [with] our members, qualified applicants, and provide West Virginians jobs. So it's a win/win on both sides." ... The website will be launched publicly next month. The website, when launched, will be www.truckingjobswv.com...
