* Leyland unveils Captain Series of trucks
Bangalore,India -The Indian Express -7th January 2014: -- Notwithstanding the current slowdown in the Indian automobile sector, especially in the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, truck maker Ashok Leyland Ltd (ALL) on Monday announced the launch of 18 variants under new ‘Captain’ series in 2014. The new series will feature Tippers, Tractors and Haulage vehicles in the 16-49 tonne category... Launching the 2523 Captain truck in New Delhi on Monday, the company announced its plans for new models under the series. The 2523 Captain will be priced at `24 lakh onwards. According to the company, they have spent close to `700 crore in development of the new series...
