* UK - 24 LGV drivers fined in North Wales Police undercover operation

Officers from North Wales Police’s commercial vehicle unit worked in partnership with staff from Vosa to target drivers who were breaking the law on roads in and around the Deeside area... Offenders included a driver who was found reading a map and another who was caught taking photographs on his mobile phone while driving. All 24 LGV drivers caught were given fixed penalty notices... Police used the undercover truck as it allowed them to see inside drivers’ cabs, an area which they cannot usually see whilst on motorbikes or in cars...
