With large parts of Russia covered in snow and ice for much of the year – and the poor conditions of the wider Russian road network – large 4x4s are proving popular with businesses people in Russia... In recent years older petrol engine 4x4s in countries like Holland, Belgium and Germany have fallen out of favour due to high taxation and fuel costs... According to Autorola, a migration of large used high emission 4x4s from Western Europe to Russia has begun thanks to the effectiveness of cross border re-marketing. However, the tax situation on older imports - including SUV's - has not changed...
