* California - Lojack: Honda Accord, Toyota Camry Among Most Stolen

Palo Alto,CAL,USA -The Car Connecction, by Kurt Ernst -Mar 20, 2012: -- Lojack is in the business of keeping your car in your driveway, and the vehicle tracking company recently released its third-annual vehicle theft report. In 2011, the company helped recover some 10,261 stolen vehicles, which works out to an impressive 92-percent recovery rate... Last year, the most stolen make and model (without regard to vehicle age) equipped with a Lojack tracking system was the Honda Accord, followed by the Toyota Camry, the Honda Civic, the Acura Integra and the Toyota Corolla. If you’re looking for a domestic vehicle on the list, the Cadillac Escalade came in at number eight, followed by the Chevy Tahoe and the Ford F-250 pickup...

* USA -  LV Sales Volume to Hit 55-Month High in March

The smartfortwo electric cars used in the car2go programme are helping to make the American public aware of the effectiveness of electric motoring in town. Users pay for the use of the cars by the minute, with parking within the city limits, insurance, power and maintenance included. There is no monthly fee, and no minimum rental time. Cars can be located by contacting the service, or just by finding one wherever it happens to have been left by the previous user (there is no need to return it to a set point)...
