ALTERNATIVE FUELS * UK - 3663 strikes waste cooking oil deal with Marriot

3663 is currently running an electric truck with refidgerated body

London,EN,UK-Fleet Owner (USA), by Chris Druce -1 September 2011: -- Foodservice supplier 3663, winner of this year’s Motor Transport Awards Environment category, has struck a deal to use the waste cooking oil generated by client Marriot hotels to power its delivery trucks...  3663, which operates a fleet of 800 vehicles including a sizeable proportion of refrigerated units, says the scheme is not for profit and purely an environmental initiative. 3663 claims that last year, customers who took part in recycling oil, achieved a combined carbon saving of more than 1,700 tonnes...  The foodservice supplier is also operating the UK's first electric truck with a refrigerated body...
