TRUCK SALES * USA - Class 8 Truck Orders Jump 37% in September

Columbus,IN,USA -Transport Topics -22 Oct 2010: -- September orders of Class 8 trucks totaled 15,231 — up 37% from a year ago, according to a report released Thursday by ACT Research Co... Seasonally adjusted net orders for the month were the second-highest monthly total in the past two years, ACT said in its latest “State of the Industry: Classes 5-8 Vehicles” report... Medium-duty orders in Classes 5-7 declined, with net orders down 27% year-over-year, led by a decline in school bus orders... Excluding school buses and just counting trucks, medium-duty orders were up 17% from a year-ago, ACT said...
