London,UK -The Road Transport, by Chris Tindall -1 July 2010: -- A significant loss of life could be prevented by little more than the cost of a pot of paint, according to a report into the most dangerous roads in the UK... The Road Safety Foundation (RSF) says simple measures like getting road markings right on major A-roads could cut road deaths by a third... The call for inexpensive solutions comes within a study revealing the most dangerous roads to drive on... It has found that 10% of Britain's motorways and A-roads have an "unacceptably high risk" and that half of all fatal collisions are occurring on one-tenth of Britain's road network... The RSF says it remains popular with HGVs, tourists and motorcyclists and that fatal and serious collisions on this section have risen 127% in the last three years...
